The main event is the Muttaburra Stock Show! More than just an event, the Stock Show is an experience not to be missed! A celebration of all things rural and a chance to connect to the raw richness of the bush.
In addition you will get a taste of the wonder of the incredible outback with sunset and dinner in a unique location, a working property tour, free time to explore Longreach township and the opportunity to see some of Australia's leading museums.
All you need to do is book your ticket and get yourself to Longreach. iButton knows the outback and will take the reins from here!

Detailed Itinerary
Friday 3rd june
If you’re flying in you will touch down on the tarmac at Longreach just after midday. We’ll meet you at the airport and our first stop will be the Qantas Museum for lunch and a tour of the museum.
After this we will show you some landmarks of the town before you check into your accommodation. There is a choice of either Mitchell Grass Retreat or Saltbush Retreat. The newly established glamping tents at Mitchell Grass Retreat will undoubtedly impress you, or the Outback Cabins at Saltbush Retreat will keep all guests comfortable.
After settling in, we will pick you up from your motel and take you to Camden Park Station for a property tour with Outback Dan.
Enjoy the spectacular beauty of the amazing outback at sunset while enjoying sunset drinks & delicious nibbles at 2 Tree Hill.
Indulge at the exclusive sit down dinner in a unique location with an opportunity to gaze at the stars. Dinner includes two courses and drinks.
You will be transferred back to your motel, or to one of Longreach’s welcoming local watering holes if you’d like a nightcap!
Saturday 4th june
Enjoy a free morning, you can either explore the main street of Longreach and find a delicious breakie spot or ‘buy from the bush’ at one of many local retailers; pack your joggers and walk or run the down the track for sunrise over the Thompson River; or enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your accommodation.
Mid morning, our coach will pick you up and drive you to Muttaburra. Spot the Muttaburrasaurus during our short coach tour of the town. Take an Instagram worthy moment at the geographical Centre of Queensland, and we’ll highlight some other local treasures as we go.
At midday we will arrive at the Muttaburra Stock Show. The fun begins with the Marque Luncheon where you will enjoy gourmet food and ice cold beverages - like the wool, they are in a class of their own!
Be ready to soak up the The Stock Show atmosphere. Wonderful market stalls, livestock & wool displays, working dog trails, sheep racing and much more!
We will then enjoy a hearty dinner at the Stock Show with some interesting yarns with the locals before returning to Longreach.
Sunday 5th june
Arise at your leisure and enjoy the breakfast in your accommodation before heading to one of Longreach’s world class attractions, the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame including the live stockman's show. Alternatively you can wander down Eagle St or to the Qantas museum for breakie. Now is the time to tick a few things off your must-see list or discover something new!
For lunch we will meet at the newly established restaurant The Branch to reflect on the weekend. From here you will be collected and taken to the Airport, your bags will meet you there!
